I hope you may enjoy browsing through it, but if you only have time to look at a few pages, I encourage you to go to page 4 where Sylvia Rothschild, our Spiritual Care Lead, explains beautifully what Spiritual Care means and clarifies a common misconception about spirituality and how it relates to religious belief.
On page 5, our patient Ray describes the different ways we are supporting him to spend as much time as possible at home. He has noticed how different the Hospice team is to the many other healthcare professionals he’s encountered, because they appreciate that his family need as much care as he does.
On page 7, you can read about our new Frailty Care Home Service. This service provides support to people who live in one of the 49 care homes in our area and who have a terminal illness or are becoming increasingly frail.
