The grant from Cantiacorum Foundation contributed towards a project that would provide gardening and DIY jobs for older disabled people who aren’t able to maintain their homes themselves. Due to the pandemic, our support to those people had to change in March 2020 to meet their new needs for telephone ‘Safe and Well’ calls to check on people and see if there was anything they needed and food and prescription deliveries. The Cantiacorum Foundation grant contributed towards supporting 1134 people before, during and after the 2020 lockdowns – with gardening when restrictions allowed and over the phone during lockdowns. We are incredibly grateful to the Cantiacorum Foundation for the grant and also the straight forward application process and communication.
