In March of this year, Heart of Kent Hospice faced a very uncertain future so it’s wonderful to be able to share our Autumn 2020 newsletter with you.
Our new Compassionate Neighbours project to combat loneliness is highlighted on page 5, and on page 8 our Ward Sister Laura talks about what inspired her to become a palliative care nurse and what it’s like caring for people on our Inpatient Unit at the moment. On page 7, the wife of one of our patients describes the support she received from the Hospice Community Team which allowed her to care for her husband at home where they both wanted him to be.
